Orlando | Bryan Vladek Hasel lived with his father at The Place at Alafaya and the last time he was seen by his father was on November 5, 2021.
November 6, 2021, was the last validated sighting by anyone else, when Vladek was seen at a cafe called Foxtail Coffee in Orlando on Collegiate Way. According to the family, police had to issue a trespassing warning to Vladek on that day at Foxtail, although there are discrepancies in why that occurred. While family called him Vladek/Vlad, he’d been introducing himself as Bryan, and was known as Bryan to Foxtail and the employees.
Foxtail management recently notified the family they have Vladek on CCTV from that day, however, won’t release that footage while police state they haven’t been provided the same.
Several sightings occurred shortly after Vladek vanished. The Orange County Sheriff’s Department has November 12 as the last date Vladek was seen – that’s when a maintenance worker says he spoke to Vladek. The area around the basketball court including the woods where that conversation occurred, is an area Vladek visited often.
Originally it was reported that the maintenance worker saw Vladek head off into the woods, but the family clarified on Twitter Spaces that the confusion was due to a voicemail left by the maintenance worker that was misunderstood.
Vladek was born in Russia and then was adopted here in the U.S at the age of 5-years-old, and one of eight siblings in his blended family. Before vanishing he was observed doing outreach for the homeless, providing resources such as food, water, and even his credit card. A US Marine Corps veteran, Vlad is described as a very giving and spiritual person.
Vladek’s family also described manic behavior during his homeless outreach work, which could be a factor leading up to the young man’s disappearance. In addition to odd behavior before vanishing, he was also leaving lavish tips in the amounts upwards of $300.
According to the family, new searches for Vladek may be pending with the help of volunteer agencies. Recent hurdles from law enforcement for such searches have proven to be frustrating but the family is hopeful new searches won’t present those obstacles.

Vladeks birthday is actually 12/20,error I made in timeline. Also, I believe he is one of 7 siblings. Foxtail Coffee has been very helpful w providing the family information about what occurred on 11/5&6th. They provided a screenshot of the video & are willing to release the video to LE. Vlad was only there briefly that morning & was fully cooperative when trespassed for the incident from the night before. It’s not anticipated that the video will provide much more than clear images of what he was last seen wearing. It might also assist LE with ruling the red “slide” sandal/shoe found during the search in or out. There is no video of the night before. The family would like witnesses to that incident to come forward. Please be respectful of Foxtail Coffee. Help us get the woods behind the apartment complex searched thoroughly!Anyone that can pass out flyers at UCF before the students leave would also be greatly appreciated! Link for flyers is on the family’s FB at “Find Bryan ‘Vladek’ Hasel”.
Help my family find our baby brother. Those woods are in the back of my mind everyday, all the time, haunting me. There was a red slide sandal found on the edge of the woods, Vladek was last seen at Foxtail Coffee with red slides on. This is significant. The woods haven’t been searched since 11/20/21. Search them again! #findvladek
I wish you good LUCK. I wonder if he had a psychiatric evaluation before this, and his doctor can provide the best ideas of his whereabouts according to his diagnosis.
