A mass shooting that started in Lewiston, Maine has left at least 18 dead and 13 injured. Lewiston is about 45 minutes north of Portland, the capital of Maine. The suspect remains at large as law enforcement setup a perimeter alongside the FBI and ATF near 196 and Frost Hill Ave in Lisbon.
President Biden alongside the governor of Maine declared that U.S. flags will be lowered to half-staff for the next five days, expressing the nation’s collective sorrow following another tragic mass shooting.

Medical assistance from Boston MedFlight could be seen on flight radar flying into Lewiston, local witnesses on the ground described at least three different scenes where people were injured en masse including a restaurant and bowling alley where a children’s bowling event was reportedly taking place. The city councilman also stated the Walmart distribution center doors were ‘shot out.’
Police put out a BOLO on police scanners for 40-year-old Robert Card who is named as the suspect, and a 2013 White Subaru Outback with a black colored front bumper was originally sought before it was ditched next to a boat ramp. The motive is still unknown at this time and a warrant has been issued for Card.
A Facebook profile linked to Robert Card, which was active shortly after the incident, has since been deactivated. Card is a firearms instructor and reportedly in the Army reserve stationed out of Saco, Maine.
Card has a history of behavioral health issues which include hallucinations, and he has made threats in the past to shoot up the National Guard Base where he was stationed.
The situation remains active as State Police and FBI join local police as they search for the suspect. This is a developing situation.
