On December 12, 2025, the U.S. House Oversight Committee (Democrats) publicly released 19 photographs from the estate of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. The images — drawn from an estate trove of more than 95,000 photos provided to Congress — include undated snapshots featuring high-profile figures such as President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Woody Allen, Steve Bannon, and others. The release was framed by committee Democrats as part of a drive for transparency and accountability, especially with a legal deadline looming for the Justice Department to release related files under the Epstein Files Transparency Act. Republicans criticized the selection as politically motivated, and no evidence of criminal wrongdoing by those pictured has been established.
The photographs released by the House Oversight Committee also depict various personal items recovered from Jeffrey Epstein’s properties. These include bondage and restraint accessories, such as gags, latex gloves, ropes, cuffs, and other paraphernalia commonly associated with BDSM activities. One image shows packaging and warning instructions for a restraint device that cautions against choking and serious injury if misused. Another image shows a black latex glove designed with extended, textured fingers, while a third shows a collection of restraints, clamps, tubing, and instructional material. The committee has not alleged that possession of these items alone constitutes criminal conduct, but included the images as part of a broader evidentiary record documenting the contents of Epstein’s estate.
